Rain... it has been some time since I have been able to spare a moment to enjoy it. This morning it was a spectacular show, albeit brief. It reminded me of... days past.

And days to come, more importantly.

Some might find it hard to believe all the stories the rain can tell... but it would do many wise to remember that the rain has traveled far and wide and seen more than any one man could ever hope to see in the tiny speck of his existence.

Listen to it... let it cleanse you.

Do not attempt to embrace it, but let it embrace you... before the sun comes out again.

I would think that in lieu of the rise in recent crime activity our beloved police would have taken more precaution when patrolling the streets of our fair city.

It is unfortunate that the product of their negligence is the death of innocents.

I wonder... who else must die before they realize the grandiosity of this most dire situation...?

My Angel... I think for the grand opening we should plan something... spectacular. We can donate the first day's earnings to the hospital. By the appearance of things... it may soon need another wing.

What a small world this is.

I am resigning from assissting in senior law now that it is the end of term. Your regularly scheduled professor will handle things from now on.

With this free time... I dare say I have some serious contemplation to attend to.

Konan... a word in private when you have some time. As I am more than sure you have noticed, there is something of utmost concern we need to discuss. Immediately.

Business is moving along; I am content with recent news, especially that which I have received from overseas. It appears that due to recent developments... my goal may be reached sooner than I had originally anticipated. This is well... I am, of course, always prepared.

A trip to Japan may be in order, however. I can only imagine the dire effect this will have upon my law students. It is imperative I find a suitable replacement for the duration of time that I will be gone, especially considering their regular professor has been showing up less often as of late. I would so hate to return to find out that their intellectual comprehension has suffered an exponential decrease of any kind. Ahh... but the key to prevention is preparation.

Not a pupil need worry for a lapse in their education. Their futures are safe in my hand. If anyone is interested in filling my shoes and teaching my class for a week, please, let me know as soon as possible.

Moving along... this meme.

I consent to telling certain things about oneself on occasion. These sorts of public displays of personal thought and opinion are a great insight to our community... and the people within it. Of course, one must also respect those who see these forms of expression as a mere outlet for their silliness. Sometimes those that confront reality and those that stretch it are difficult to differentiate.

MEME

A) List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B) Tag seven people to do the same.
C) Do not tag the person who tagged you or tag "whoever wants to do it."

1. I support the greater good.
2. I do not believe in luck.
3. I believe lessons are best learnt the difficult way.
4. I will never tell a lie.
5. I have a soft spot for the classic visage of a superhero.
6. I do not forgive and forget easily.
7. I do not believe in your God.

Angel, I believe you're up.

"Nothing is given to man on earth - struggle is built into the nature of life, and conflict is possible - the hero is the man who lets no obstacle prevent him from pursuing the values he has chosen."
~Andrew Bernstein

...And we would do well with a little more heroism in this fair city. I shall do my part.

Surely funding is required for rebuilding? Compensation for those that lost... so much. I am willing to give an arm and a leg, figuratively speaking, but of course.

My time in itself is... precious. But surely a triple digit number would cure the ailments of many in this dire hour of need.

The troubled need only raise their voices... there is a benevolent ear listening. Send me your prayers. Not a one will go unheard.

News from overseas pleases me. Business is, apparently, booming.

Also, I have a meeting tomorrow morning with a fine gentleman about a certain property I've had my eyes on. This means that I will not be available for Mishima University's Law class. My apologies to the students enrolled, but your primary instructor will be continuing the class in my stead. Hopefully my absence will not prove to be a problem.

Tomorrow evening I would like very much if you would join me for a drink or two at Absinthe, Kuronue.

This has been going around, and since a companion of mine seems to have helped herself to answering, I suppose I can divulge... a little.

It was a little entertaining, at least.

This past week has been full of... many interesting ventures outside of work. I'm pleased that I've not become one of those all work and no play individuals. Life could become quite boring that way, but of course there is still business to attend to.

I will be out of town tomorrow morning and I will not be able to return until the late afternoon. For those of you in the senior law class at Mishima University there has been posted on the bulletine outside of the lecture room the chapters expected of you to read and makes notes upon.

Finally... Konan. I would like to visit the house tomorrow when I get back, if it is possible. While we have a couple weeks yet before we can move in, I would like to take care of interior arrangements ahead of time. I've never appreciated a chaotic household.

These holidays never cease to grow tiresome.

At least I have plans for this evening and I needn't fear getting caught up amidst the unnecessary celebrations. The extent of my joyride will be sipping wine in good company and possibly brushing up on some old psychology notes.

Konan, I hope you're ready for me to bore you, hm?

Ah, yes. And this was... amusing.

I escaped from Starbase Six Paths!

It is amazing how well some puzzles fit together, requiring very little to no effort at all. It is almost as though the pieces just... fall into place.

I think last night went well. The charity auction was full of such diverse individuals amongst those being auctioned and those doing the bidding. I had the opportunity to lose to one such fellow - well played on his behalf, I must say. I'm sorry that I never caught his name.

I have classes soon, but afterwards I hope to have a busy evening full of... active arrangements. Perhaps, if I should be so lucky, I will meet even more new and interesting people.

Kuronue Moriko? I hope you haven't forgotten my extended invitation. It is open to any friends you might wish to bring along as well.

All seems well here.

San Francisco isn't a quiet place, but it isn't without some charm, I suppose.

I hear tell the gardens and parks are nice, that is to say when they are not overcrowded. Perhaps I will take a moment of my time this evening to see for myself, or I may go tomorrow after class hours.

I hear also that there is a charity auction taking place tonight? I might spare a few moments of my time for that as well. It could be interesting...
